The lavish Peninsula summer home of silver magnate William Chapman Ralston remains as it was in the 1870s. The estate, complete with a dining room for 100, mirrored ballroom, and sun parlor similar to the promenade deck of a Mississippi riverboat, is now the campus of the College of Notre Dame. Guided tours by appointment only.
